2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Specs, Interior, Price And Release Date – The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor is basically a downsized version of the high-flying, velocity-defying F-150 Raptor.
As with its big brother, the off-road-ready Ranger will also feature flared fenders, rugged tires, extra ground clearance, and an unmistakable grille.
While it will ride on the same fully boxed ladder frame as the regular Ranger, the Raptor variant will receive a long-travel suspension for soaring over jumps and a more powerful engine for quicker desert runs.
The Ford will only be offered in one body style—a crew cab connected to a five-foot cargo box. The interior should have distinct flourishes and a feature-laden infotainment system.
Ford brought back the Ranger for 2019 and left us wanting more when they only gave it one powertrain. That powertrain has proven to be an excellent package of power and performance from Ford. Even so, we’ve wanted something more, and the Raptor version gives that to us.
The new Raptor model had a powerplant from Ford Performance. This engine is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine capable of 392 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.
The transmission is a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic, and this truck features front and rear locking differentials and a standard 4WD system with multiple drive modes. It’s safe to say this new powertrain is more than welcome to hit the market whenever Ford desires.

2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Specs
The 2023 Ranger Raptor will feature a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 that’s said to make 392 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. However, those figures could be slightly different than the U.S. version.
It’s essentially the same setup found on the Ford Bronco Raptor, which includes a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive, complete with locking front and rear differentials.
Compared to its pedestrian counterpart, the Raptor will have a sturdier suspension and beefier off-road equipment. Along with a higher ride height and increased ground clearance, it has 33-inch all-terrain tires that bookend wider front and rear tracks.
2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Interior
Inside, the Raptorized Ranger will be mildly different from its regular counterpart. While we still expect an abundance of hard plastics and some rubberized materials, Ford spruces up the cabin with exclusive content.
The overseas version boasts leather and microsuede upholstery and heavily bolstered front seats. In addition to a pair of aluminum paddle shifters, the steering wheel should wear a red band at the 12 o’clock mark, denoting its performance edge.
We anticipate it’ll offer a similar set of standard and optional features as the standard truck, including dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, remote start, and more. The Ranger Raptor will probably come in only one configuration: a crew-cab body style with a five-foot cargo box.
2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Price And Release Date
The price of the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor will go up from $85,490 to $86,790 plus on-road costs – an increase of $1300 – from early next year. Metallic paint will also increase from $675 to $700 amid record demand for Ford’s high-performance pick-up.
While many Ford Ranger Raptors already ordered at $85,490 plus on-road costs (which equates to about $92,000 drive-away in most states and territories) will be “price protected”, vehicles manufactured from March 2023 onwards will be hit with the higher price. Dealers have also been advised price rises are coming for the regular Ford Ranger line-up, but details are yet to be disclosed.
On Ranger Raptors built during or after March 2023, Ford has advised dealers they can either absorb the extra cost themselves, pass the increase onto the customer, or offer the customer a refund of their deposit if the buyer doesn’t agree to the new, higher price.
A confidential bulletin sent to Ford dealers says all Ranger Raptor vehicles built up to the end of February 2023 will remain priced at $85,490 plus on-road costs.
However, all Ford Ranger Raptors – dubbed a 2023.5 model year – built from March 2023 onwards will be applied with the new, higher price of $86,790 plus on-road costs.
